Importing fans
Preparing your data
Before importing, make sure your data is in a CSV file with the following columns:| Column | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Phone | Yes | The primary identifier. Include country code (e.g., +1 for US) |
| First Name | Recommended | Fan’s first name |
| Last Name | Recommended | Fan’s last name |
| Optional | Email address |
Running the import
Fanhaven will attempt to auto-detect your columns. Verify the mapping is correct — phone, name, email, etc.
The import tool detects existing fans (matched by phone number) and lets you choose how to handle them:
Post-import
After importing, Fanhaven automatically:- Validates emails — Checks that imported email addresses are deliverable
- Validates phones — Verifies phone numbers are valid
- Enriches profiles — Adds geographic and demographic data where available
