How referrals work
When someone uses a referral code to sign up for the artist’s Fanpass, the system tracks the connection.
Setting up referrals
Navigate to Fanpass → Referrals in the dashboard to configure your referral program.Configuration options
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Referrer reward | What the existing fan gets for a successful referral |
| New fan reward | What the new fan gets for signing up via referral |
| Reward type | Discount, free item, or loyalty points |
| Referral limit | Maximum number of referrals per fan (optional) |
Tracking referrals
The Referrals page in the dashboard shows:- Total referrals — How many fans have been referred
- Top referrers — Your most active fan ambassadors
- Conversion rate — What percentage of shared codes result in sign-ups
- Reward distribution — How many rewards have been claimed
Best practices
- Make the reward compelling — Fans need a reason to share. A meaningful discount or exclusive item works better than a small percentage off.
- Make sharing easy — The Fanpass page includes built-in share functionality, but also promote the referral program on social media and at shows.
- Celebrate referrers — Consider featuring or rewarding top referrers to create a sense of community and competition.
