# Reports Overview

> Generate detailed reports on sales, inventory, financials, and more.

Fanhaven's **reporting system** lets you generate detailed, formatted reports on every aspect of your tour operations. Whether you need a quick sales snapshot or a comprehensive end-of-tour financial summary, there's a report for it.

## Accessing reports

Navigate to **Reporting** from the dashboard sidebar (under Operations). From here you can:

* **Generate a new report** — Select the type, set parameters, and create
* **View past reports** — Access previously generated reports
* **Schedule reports** — Set up automatic report generation on a recurring basis

## Generating a report

<Steps>
  ### Select the report type

  Choose from the available report types (see [Report Types](/reports/report-types) for the full list).

  ### Set parameters

  Each report has configurable parameters:

  | Parameter      | Description                                 |
  | -------------- | ------------------------------------------- |
  | **Date range** | The time period covered |
  | **Event(s)** | Specific events to include (or all) |
  | **Filters** | Additional filters depending on report type |

  ### Generate

  Click generate and the report is created. For large reports, generation may take a moment — you'll be notified when it's ready.

  ### View or download

  Open the report in the dashboard viewer or download it as a formatted file for sharing.
</Steps>

## Report viewer

The built-in **report viewer** displays reports directly in the dashboard with:

* Interactive tables with sortable columns
* Summary totals and calculated fields
* Visual breakdowns (charts and graphs where applicable)
* Print-friendly formatting

## Scheduling reports

Don't want to generate reports manually? Set up **report schedules** to automate it:

1. Go to **Reporting → Schedules**
2. Create a new schedule
3. Select the report type and parameters
4. Set the frequency (daily, weekly, per-event, etc.)
5. Choose delivery method (email, dashboard notification)

<Tip>Schedule a Tour Overview report to be generated weekly during an active tour. This gives management a regular pulse check without anyone having to remember to run it.</Tip>
