# Managing Tours

> Create, configure, and manage your tours from start to finish.

A **tour** is the central operating unit in Fanhaven. It groups your events, merch catalog, inventory, staff, and financial settings into one manageable package.

## Creating a tour

<Steps>
  ### Navigate to Tours

  From the dashboard sidebar, click **Tours** to see all your tours.

  ### Click "Create Tour"

  Enter the tour name, set the start and end dates, and select the artist this tour belongs to.

  ### Configure tour settings

  After creation, you'll be taken to the **Tour Info** page where you can fine-tune settings.
</Steps>

## Tour settings

The **Tour Info** page contains everything about your tour's configuration:

### General information

* **Tour name** and date range
* **Artist** association
* **Tour status** (active, completed, etc.)

### Promotions & giveaways

Fanhaven supports several built-in promotional mechanics that run at the tour level:

| Promotion              | How it works                                         |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| **Giveaway** | Randomly select winners from qualifying transactions |
| **Lottery** | Fans enter a drawing with each purchase |
| **BOGO**               | Buy-one-get-one deals on selected items              |
| **Spend Threshold** | Reward fans who spend above a set amount |
| **Quantity Threshold** | Reward fans who buy a minimum number of items |

<Tip>Promotions are a great way to drive higher average order values and collect more fan data at the booth.</Tip>

### Mobile ordering

Toggle **mobile ordering** on or off for the tour. When enabled, you can configure:

* **Pickup booth** — Where fans collect mobile orders
* **Shipping options** — Allow shipped orders
* **Fanpass requirement** — Require a Fanpass to place mobile orders

### POS configuration

Tour-level POS settings include:

* **Register layout** — The arrangement of items on the POS screen
* **Tipping** — Enable/disable and set tip presets
* **Manager PIN requirements** — Require a manager PIN for sensitive actions like refunds

## Managing multiple tours

From the **Tours** list, you can:

* **View all tours** across your organization
* **Switch** between active tours
* **Archive** completed tours
* **Duplicate** tour settings to quickly set up new runs

<Info>When you switch tours, the entire dashboard context changes — stats, inventory, events, and settings all reflect the selected tour.</Info>
